Il volto del Cristo, molto venerato, mostra, a seconda della prospettiva da cui lo si guarda, tre aspetti dei martirio: dal lato sinistro esprime la sofferenza dell'agonia, di fronte Cristo che si dona, dal lato destro la serenità della morte.  Ai piedi dell'opera un plastico della città di Treia.  La festa del Crocifisso si celebra annualmente nella domenica "in Albis". Il Santuario, in posizione panoramica, è stato eretto su resti di edifici dell'antica Treia romana.

The face of this very venerated Christ shows, depending on the perspective of watching, three aspects of martyrdom: on the left side it expresses the suffering of agony, in front Christ offering himself, on the right the serenity of death. At the bottom of the work a model of the town of Treia. The feast of the Crucifix takes place every year on Sunday "in Albis”. The Sanctuary, in a scenic position, was built on the remains of the ancient Roman Treia.
